The Exodus of 2 March 2020, a work completed in the 2020 series of Witnesses, draws on the composition of Goya's famous painting to depict the sense of disengagement caused by the current epidemic rumours and the monopoly of information. It documents the publication, at that point in time, of false information that a patient had escaped and been shot. In such a situation, the truth of the rumour is not only a problem of information screening, but also a sense of disconnection and virtual isolation from the real event, which is the object of the series.
