A sense of relic-like eeriness is created in Refrigeration, a framed specimen of a human hand from a thousand years ago frozen in a central block of ice, which is a direct way of expressing the artist's concern about science and technology: when cloning and biological freezing reach the level of possibility and life is materialised and digitised, people will have to face the ensuing legal and ethical catastrophe.
